How do we order an invitation?

First, you select your invitation design.  Next, you send us a copy of the text you want to place in the invitation.  We would be happy to provide common examples of invitation wording if you need inspiration.  If your chosen design incorporates an engagement photo, we will require a copy of your engagement photograph.  You may submit the photo via e-mail if you have a digital picture or know how to scan photographs (at 300 dpi or greater resolution). Alternately, you can mail a copy of the photo to us and we will gladly scan it for you and return it with your invitations.  Once you have submitted the necessary materials, we create a proof of the invitations in digital format.  We send this invitation to you via e-mail or traditional mail for you to approve.  Once you have critiqued this preliminary version, we then address any concerns until the result is perfect.  The invitations are printed and sent to you via the mailing method of your choice.

How much does it cost?

The price listed below the invitation is the price you pay (plus shipping).  Most invitations are from $0.65 to $1.50 per invitation and you may order as many or as few as you wish, with a minimum order of 150 invitations.  With the price of color printing, either on an inkjet printer or at a local printing shop, creating your own invitations and printing it would be similar in cost—without the professional, artistic design or the superior printing methods.

How long does it take?

You can anticipate your completed invitations in the mail in as little as eight business days if you send us the engagement photo and text through E-mail, proof the digital copy immediately upon e-mail receipt, and then order it to be shipped quickly.  Most of the time it takes about two to three weeks for the printing, at which time it will be mailed by whatever means you select. (Please allow as much time as you can to avoid the problems associated with unforeseeable printing or mailing delays).

What if you don’t have an invitation for the temple we have chosen for our wedding?

If we have a photo of the temple, we can create an invitation for you using that photograph.  If we do not have your temple listed, there are several ways to solve this problem.

  1. If you have a permission to use a photo of that particular temple (either your own work or that of a consenting photographer), we can easily create the invitation using the photo you supply.  Often, we can enhance your photo, so don’t be discouraged if it isn’t perfect.  We would be happy to take a look and let you know if the quality is high enough for use in an invitation.
  2. Usually, we can obtain the rights to use a photo of your chosen temple.  Please ask.  We will find a photo and obtain permission from the photographer with no obligation.

Simply ask us if you need a temple we do not have.  We will do our best to find a solution for your needs.

What is the paper and ink like on my finished invitation?

The invitation will be on your choice of paper, printed professionally in rich, sharp, full color.  We have generic glossy or matte white paper that we traditionally use, but if desired, we can use a special paper supplied by you or ordered on your behalf.  Let us know your preferences.  Keep in mind that strong colors or textures may cause problems in the printing process or detract from the design.  Please involve us in the selection of fine papers.

If you desire raised ink (also known as thermograph printing), it can be provided, but will somewhat more expensive than standard flat inks—$60 per ordered item (Invitations, RSVPs, and/or Temple Cards)
